Most crypto projects go straight to public markets at the idea stage — skipping the validation gates that traditional startups must pass. We apply those same gates retroactively.
That's the only question we ask. Everything else is noise.
Product & Traction is the heaviest pillar (25%) because in crypto, most projects never ship. A working product with real users is the single strongest signal of viability.
An "A" means the project has the fundamentals of a Series B company — proven product, real revenue, defensible moat. An "F" means no rational investor would write a check at any valuation.
Each pillar breaks into 3-4 measurable sub-criteria. Scoring is deterministic — same data always produces the same score.
Does a specific, verifiable problem exist that this project addresses?
Is the TAM realistic and sourced, not inflated marketing numbers?
Is the market ready now, or is this a "too early" bet?
How crowded is this space? Monopoly vs. commodity?
Mainnet live? Testnet? Whitepaper only?
DAU/MAU, TVL, tx count, fee revenue — real usage?
90-day trend in key metrics — growing or flatlined?
dApps, partnerships, integrations — network density?
Fully doxxed / pseudonymous with reputation / anonymous?
Prior successes or relevant industry experience?
Roadmap execution rate — do they ship what they promise?
Growing? Engineering-heavy or marketing-heavy?
Fixed cap vs inflationary? Burns? Reasonable economics?
Insider allocation <20%? Community >50%?
Cliff/vesting? Major unlocks pending that could dump?
Runway? Diversified or all-in on own token?
Novel approach or "yet another L1/DEX/lending protocol"?
Fully open / partial / closed source?
Audited by reputable firms? Bug bounty program?
Switching costs, composability, developer lock-in?
Securities risk? Jurisdiction exposure? SEC notices?
Validator distribution, admin keys, multisig governance?
Upgradeable proxies? Unverified contracts?
Active lawsuits, SEC notices, exploit history?
We show our work. Every score is traceable to specific data points.
